Cartoons… its got to be obvious that they’re my favorite.

Growing up, my interest in superheroes heavily influenced me to copy comic book illustrations and do my best at drawing whichever frame of my favorite superhero movies I would pause at. the confident black outlines mixed with powerful, yet simplistic color pallets have served me well in most of what I create.

I put a cross in pictures with odd characters because people need to know that God loves broken people. if I didn’t know that then I probably wouldn’t have ever wanted to know him because I’d get the feeling that a holy God wouldn’t like me, but he actually loved me so much that he died for my brokenness then redeemed me in the act of rising from the grave. so that’s why I draw these odd drawings with a nod towards his sacrifice to save me.
